Listed Criminal ‘Kailya Palash’ Shot in Dhaka’s Hatirjheel Area

Yasin Khan Palash, widely known as “Kailya Palash” and listed by authorities as a top criminal, was shot and injured in the Hatirjheel area of Dhaka on Friday (June 12).
According to police, the incident took place around 2:00 pm near Ekramunnesa Girls’ High School, adjacent to the Rampura Bridge and TV Centre area. He was later taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for treatment.
Hatirjheel Police Station Officer-in-Charge, Md. Asaduzzaman confirmed the incident and stated that Palash is a listed top criminal.
Police said it was not immediately clear who carried out the shooting or what motive was behind the attack. An investigation is underway to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident and identify those responsible.
Authorities are examining whether the shooting was linked to previous rivalries, criminal dominance disputes, or other criminal activities.
