The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) organised a Milad and Doa Mahfil at its central office today to mark Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH). Addressing the programme, BNP Acting Secretary General and Prime Minister’s Political Adviser Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said the core message of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi is to follow the life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and establish peace, equality and justice in society.

He said Muslims should make the Prophet’s teachings a guiding principle in their lives, particularly his messages of peace, forgiveness, patience, equality, tolerance and justice regardless of religion or community.

Rizvi said that following Islam’s message of peace could help reduce conflicts, promote justice and economic equality, and create a more stable and harmonious society.

He also called for following the Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) example of justice, peace and equality. He said adherence to the Prophet’s life and the values demonstrated by his companions could help reduce unrest, disorder and discrimination in society.

BNP Standing Committee Member and Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed, BNP Chairman’s Adviser and Dhaka South City Corporation Administrator freedom fighter Abdus Salam, Joint Secretaries General Khairul Kabir Khokon, Habib-un-Nabi Khan Sohel and Abdus Salam Azad, Water Resources Minister Md Shahiduddin Chowdhury Anee, and leaders and activists of the BNP and its affiliated and associate organisations attended the programme.
