Applications for re-scrutiny of the 2026 Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examination results opened on Sunday. Interested students can apply online until November 7.

The information was announced in a notice signed on October 30 by Professor Jasmin Taslima Banu, controller of examinations at the Dhaka Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education.

According to the notice, students seeking a review of their published results must apply through the designated website. Applications can be submitted through the official https://rescrutiny.eduboardresults.gov.bd/

To apply, students must enter their examination roll and registration numbers in the designated fields and select their respective education board from the dropdown menu. Clicking the “Submit” button will take them to the next step.

Applicants must then provide an active mobile phone number. Once the re-scrutiny results are published, they will be notified by SMS. Students can then view their subject-wise results and select the subject or subjects they want reviewed before clicking the “Pay Fee” button.

The re-scrutiny fee is Tk 150 per paper. If a subject consists of two papers, students must apply for both. The total fee will be displayed at the next stage after the subjects are selected.

Fees can be paid through bKash, Nagad, Dutch-Bangla Bank's Rocket, Upay and Sonali Seba. Applicants can click the “Pay” button on the application portal for detailed payment instructions.

After completing payment, students must return to the application portal and click the “Submit” button to finalize their applications. Students who wish to add more subjects after submitting their initial application can follow the same procedure. They will not need to enter their mobile number again when adding subjects.

The notice also provides instructions for correcting subject selections. Before paying the fee, applicants can remove previously selected subjects by clicking the “Delete” button and choose different subjects for which payment has not yet been made.

However, once the fee has been paid and the application submitted, the selected subjects cannot be cancelled. The fee will not be refunded under any circumstances. Students are therefore advised to check their selections carefully before completing the process.

The education board also clarified that applications will not be accepted in person or through manual procedures. Students must apply through the designated website and ensure that both the fee payment and final submission are completed by November 7.
