Kaushani Mukherjee Turns Fish Seller for ‘Bohurupi’ Promotion

Tollywood actress Kaushani Mukherjee won viewers’ attention with her portrayal of Jhimli in the popular film ‘Bohurupi’. Nearly two years after the film, she is set to return to the screen in the same character in ‘Bohurupi The Golden Dacoit’.

The film is scheduled to hit theatres on October 15.

Ahead of the release, the makers have adopted an unusual promotional strategy. In a video shared on social media, Kaushani appears in the guise of a fish seller, giving fans a glimpse of a completely different look.

Dressed in a simple sari, with her hair tied tightly in a bun and a darker makeup look, the actress appears almost unrecognisable at first glance. She is seen carrying large fish and calling out to customers like a fish vendor in a local market.

Kaushani also took part in a fish-cutting sequence, though handling a large fish near the traditional cutting tool proved challenging. Keeping the mood light, she jokingly says that she never imagined she would have to become a fish seller for a role.

The promotional video also shows her playing the part of a street hawker. As soon as the director says “action”, she begins loudly advertising the fish, calling out prices and highlighting that the fish are fresh.

Even as the shoot nears completion, Kaushani continues to entertain the crew with her humour, jokingly urging viewers to buy the fish before the filming ends.

Her striking de-glam look and lively promotional performance have already generated considerable interest among viewers on social media ahead of the film’s theatrical release.
