Iran Says Strait of Hormuz Will Remain Closed Amid US Naval Blockade

Iran has announced that it will not reopen the Strait of Hormuz unless the United States lifts its naval blockade on Iranian ports.
Officials stated that extending the ceasefire would be meaningless if maritime restrictions continue.
Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said the strait cannot be reopened if the ceasefire is violated through naval blockades.
Meanwhile, Iran’s Revolutionary Guard has reportedly seized two vessels in the strait, raising concerns over escalating tensions in one of the world’s most critical energy transit routes.
