The government has brought private cars across the country under the “Fuel Pass” system to ensure transparency and accountability in fuel distribution.
According to a statement issued on Sunday by the Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources, the scope of the Fuel Pass service has been expanded to include privately owned vehicles.
Previously limited to motorcycles, the system will now cover private cars through registration under the Fuel Pass app.
In the initial phase, vehicles under the ‘A’, ‘B’, and ‘C’ series have been made eligible for registration. Other series will be gradually included in the system.
The statement also noted that all filling stations in the capital will soon begin supplying fuel to registered private vehicles under the Fuel Pass system.
The initiative is expected to enhance transparency and improve efficiency in the country’s fuel management system.
