Over 200 organisations from 10 countries to showcase tourism products, services and investment opportunities

The 13th Asian Tourism Fair (ATF) 2026, featuring travel opportunities at home and abroad, tourism products and services, and new investment prospects in Bangladesh’s tourism sector, is set to begin in the capital on September 17.
The three-day international tourism fair will be held at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB), located near the 300 Feet Road in Dhaka. The fair will remain open from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm each day.

The details of the fair were announced at a press conference held Monday at Crowne Plaza Dhaka Gulshan. Mohiuddin Helal, Editor of Parjatan Bichitra and Chairman of the Asian Tourism Fair, briefed journalists on the event. Md. Samimuzzaman, Chairman of Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation, attended the event as the chief guest.

According to the organisers, more than 200 organisations from 10 countries, including Bangladesh, will participate in ATF 2026 with the approval of the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism and with support and participation from Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation and the Bangladesh Tourism Board.

Around 300 stalls will be set up across three halls of ICCB, where participating organisations will showcase their tourism products and services.

Hotels, resorts, tour operators, travel agencies, airlines, public and private tourism organisations, as well as foreign embassies and missions, are expected to participate in the fair. Visitors will also have access to various special offers alongside the exhibition of tourism products and services.

The special attractions of this year’s fair include the ‘Destination Bangladesh Showcase’, ‘International Tourism Showcase’ and ‘Bangladesh Tourism Investment Showcase’.

The event will also feature B2B sessions, seminars, destination presentations, panel discussions, product promotions and networking opportunities aimed at strengthening business connections among tourism stakeholders.

Cultural performances by artists from Bangladesh, Nepal and the Philippines will be held every evening during the fair.

Mohiuddin Helal, Chairman of the Asian Tourism Fair, said, “ATF 2026 will play an important role in creating business connections among domestic and international tourism stakeholders, promoting tourism products and opening up new opportunities for tourism investment in Bangladesh.”

Chief guest Md. Samimuzzaman said international fairs of this nature are important for the development of Bangladesh’s tourism industry. Coordinated participation from the public and private sectors, he added, can help promote Bangladesh’s tourism potential and investment opportunities both at home and abroad.

He also said the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism has approved the fair, while Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation will provide overall support and participate in the event.

Representatives from Thailand, the Philippines, the Maldives and Malaysia, along with representatives of partner and sponsor organisations, attended the press conference. Leaders of various tourism-related organisations were also present.

The choice of ICCB as the venue reflects the scale and international character of the tourism fair. With modern architecture, extensive space, advanced infrastructure, parking facilities and multiple event halls, ICCB has established itself as one of Dhaka’s major event destinations.

The venue offers several halls of different capacities, open spaces, restaurants, a mosque and extensive parking facilities. These facilities make it suitable for international fairs, trade exhibitions, corporate seminars, conferences, concerts, award ceremonies and social and cultural events.

Hall-1 can accommodate around 1,400 people, while Hall-2 and Hall-3 can accommodate approximately 1,600 people each. Hall-4 has a capacity of around 3,200 people, while Hall-5 can accommodate approximately 600 people. Hall-6, also known as the Expo Zone, can host events involving around 15,000 people.

Hall rental rates vary depending on the type and duration of the event, decoration requirements and additional services. As a general indication, the rental charge for Halls 1, 2 and 3 is around Tk 400,000 each, while Hall-4 costs approximately Tk 550,000 and Hall-5 around Tk 200,000. The actual rates may vary depending on the event and associated services.

The expansive Expo Zone is particularly suitable for large concerts, national and international conferences, major corporate events, award ceremonies and cultural programmes involving large audiences.

Its extensive parking facilities are another advantage for major events, providing convenience for both organisers and visitors. The availability of restaurants, a mosque, exhibition spaces and event facilities within the same complex also allows visitors to access multiple services without leaving the venue.

With domestic and international tourism companies, airlines, hotels, resorts, tour operators, public and private organisations and foreign representatives expected to participate, ATF 2026 is poised to serve not only as a tourism exhibition but also as a major platform for business networking, investment, tourism promotion and cultural exchange.
