Online Editors Alliance Secures Official Registration

The Online Editors Alliance, a professional association comprising the online and digital heads of Bangladesh's leading mainstream news organizations, has officially received its registration. The Registrar of Joint Stock Companies and Firms (RJSC) issued the registration under the Societies Registration Act, 1860, with the official registration number S-15343/2026.

Although the formal legal registration was completed under the name "Online Editors Society" as part of the institutional process, the organization will continue to operate under its pre-determined and recognized name, "Online Editors Alliance," per specific provisions in its approved documentation.

Industry insiders view this registration as a vital milestone for the growth of digital media in the country. It creates a structured framework to enhance professional standards, safeguard the rights and dignity of online journalists, and systematically address the evolving challenges of cyber journalism.
