Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has officially announced that visa issuance for the 2026 Hajj season (1447 Hijri) will begin tomorrow, Sunday, 8 February 2026.

This marks the start of the process, allowing registered pilgrims from around the world to apply for and receive Hajj visas well ahead of the pilgrimage season, which is expected to take place later in the year.

The early issuance is part of a comprehensive plan to enhance service quality, streamline logistics, and ensure a smooth experience for millions of worshippers attending the sacred pilgrimage.

Under the plan, contracts for accommodation, transportation, and other essential services in the holy cities have already been finalized, and detailed preparations have been underway for months.

Saudi authorities have urged all Hajj offices, service providers, and pilgrims to adhere to established timelines to ensure that facilities and infrastructure are fully ready.

Pilgrims, including those from Bangladesh, must complete mandatory health examinations, obtain a valid fitness certificate, and receive required vaccinations before submitting visa applications.

The application window will remain open from 8 February to 20 March 2026, giving applicants sufficient time to fulfil all requirements.

This early start to visa issuance aligns with Saudi Arabia’s broader plans under Vision 2030 to modernize its pilgrimage services and manage the annual Hajj with greater efficiency and comfort for visitors. Authorities have already reported strong global interest, with hundreds of thousands of pilgrims registered so far.
