National Citizen Party (NCP) convener and Dhaka-11 candidate Nahid Islam has pledged to eliminate social inequality and build a justice-based state, outlining his party’s vision during a televised address to the nation.

The statement was delivered Sunday evening in a broadcast on Bangladesh Television as part of the campaign messaging ahead of the national election. In his speech, Nahid emphasized the need to restructure the political and social system to ensure fairness, equality, and justice for all citizens.

He argued that the country’s political and social arrangements over the past decades were built on various forms of inequality, which eventually led to public unrest and demands for structural change. According to him, these disparities have existed not only in economic terms but also in political, social, and cultural spheres.

Nahid said his party aims to create a state where justice, equal opportunities, and fair market practices are ensured, and where discrimination of any kind is removed from governance and public life. He called on citizens to support the vision of a more equitable and accountable state structure.

The speech focused on broader themes of social justice, democratic governance, and economic fairness, presenting them as central pillars of the party’s political platform.
