Naval Police have arrested Disha, a friend of former Bangladesh Air Force officer Tahsif Sauri, in connection with the investigation into his death. She was arrested on Saturday night, October 31, according to sources at Tongi Naval Police.

Meanwhile, investigators are questioning Ahmed Shahriar Reza Dip, Tahsif’s junior friend, who is currently on a four-day remand in the case.

Firoz Ahmed, an inspector at Tongi Naval Police, confirmed that the woman, identified as Disha, was arrested on Saturday night. He said the investigation officer had been questioning Dip since midnight while he remained in remand.

According to investigation sources, the Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) initially took Dip into custody for questioning following allegations made by Tahsif’s family. Dip reportedly provided information about the places he had visited with Tahsif and the reasons for those visits.

However, investigators said they found inconsistencies in some parts of his account. The PBI later visited several locations based on information provided by Dip.

Investigators are questioning Disha and Dip and examining other evidence in an effort to establish the circumstances surrounding Tahsif’s death. No one’s responsibility for the death has been established through the judicial process.
