Several Cocktail Explosions at DU’s TSC, Two Detained

Several cocktail bombs exploded in succession in the area of the Teacher-Student Centre (TSC) at the University of Dhaka. Students and people present at the scene detained two individuals suspected of involvement in the incident. They were later taken to Shahbagh Police Station.

The incident took place on Sunday evening, November 8. Earlier, another cocktail bomb exploded in front of the university's Nawab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhaban.

According to eyewitnesses, the two individuals allegedly set off several cocktail bombs in the TSC area before attempting to flee. They were detained while trying to escape through an area adjacent to the metro rail. People present at the scene reportedly beat them.

It was not immediately known whether anyone was injured in the explosions. The identities of the two detained individuals were also not immediately available.
