Liaquat Ali Khan Mukul Elected ATCO Director

Liaquat Ali Khan Mukul, chairman of Asian Television and Rupayan Group, has been elected as a director of the Association of Television Channel Owners (ATCO).

ATCO held its annual general meeting (AGM) at Hotel Sheraton in Dhaka on Sunday, November 8. The organisation's new leadership was elected following the meeting.

Anjan Chowdhury was elected president, while Abdus Salam was elected general secretary. Kazi Jahedul Hasan was elected vice-president, and Zahiruddin Mahmud Mamun treasurer.

Other directors on the new committee are Liaquat Ali Khan Mukul, Navidul Haque, Mostafa Kamal, Alhaj Mohammad Mosaddeq Ali, Md Jasim Uddin, Tipu Alam Milon, Md Hasan, Shamim Islam and Syed Samadul Haque.

The AGM discussed the organisation's recent activities, organisational progress, financial report and the overall state of the country's television broadcasting sector. Members also shared their views and proposals on future plans for developing the television industry and protecting the interests of member channels.

The newly elected committee members pledged to make ATCO's activities more dynamic, safeguard the interests and professional dignity of member television channels, and work collectively to advance the country's broadcasting industry.
