Mizanur Rahman Sohel has been selected for the second time as a Jury Member for the Digital Media Excellence Award, organised by the Digital Media Forum (DMF), underscoring his enduring influence in Bangladesh’s media and literary spheres.
At the vibrant intersection of literature, journalism, and digital innovation, Mizanur Rahman Sohel stands out as a distinguished communicator. From bestselling books and acclaimed journalism to high-profile local and global PR campaigns, his career reflects a unique blend of creativity and leadership.
His recognition as a nominee for the UK-based Author of the Year award at the Influencer Magazine Awards 2025, alongside multiple awards for contributions to online journalism, highlights his impact on both national and international platforms.
Currently heading the online and digital division of Bhorer Kagoj, a 34-year-old national daily, Mizanur Rahman Sohel previously spearheaded the digital transformation of Daily Jugantor, turning it into one of the country’s leading and highest-revenue-earning online media platforms. His journalism career began in 2004 with Daily Bibrity and progressed through esteemed publications including Daily Ajker Pabna, Daily Ittefaq, Daily Amader Shomoy, and Priyo.com.
Mizanur’s contributions have earned him numerous accolades, most recently the Global Star Award 2024, recognising his significant impact on online journalism in Bangladesh. Over more than two decades, he has authored 29 published works, including motivational and business bestsellers such as Bikroy Magic (Sales Magic), which sold over 20,000 copies in its first two months, and pioneering titles like Hacking and Hacker, Bangladesh’s first book on hacking.
Other notable works include Zero Takay Business, Ek Bochhore Kotipoti (Millionaire in a Year), 101 Ways to Success, Content Creator, and the 100K Taka Startup, consolidating his reputation as a leading voice on self-growth, business, and technology.
Beyond journalism and literature, Mizanur Rahman Sohel’s design contributions include the widely recognised graphics for the Bangabandhu Satellite, prominently featured in billboards, magazines, e-passports, and news broadcasts.
As General Secretary of the Online Editors Alliance, representing the heads of online and digital divisions of the country’s leading media outlets and a founding member of several journalist networks, Mizanur Rahman Sohel combines creative vision with organisational leadership. His roles within the Bangladesh ICT Journalist Forum (BIJF) and the Pabna Journalist Forum, Dhaka (PJF), reflect his enduring commitment to media integrity and digital literacy.
