Gold Price Rises Again in Bangladesh, 22-Carat Gold at Tk 234,621 per Bhori

Gold prices have increased again in Bangladesh following the latest price adjustment by the Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS).
On Saturday, September 19, BAJUS raised the price of gold by Tk 1,691 per bhori. As a result, the revised prices remain effective in the country's jewellery market on Wednesday, September 23.
According to the latest pricing structure, 22-carat gold is being sold at Tk 234,621 per bhori.
Latest Gold Prices in Bangladesh
22-carat: Tk 234,621 per bhori
21-carat: Tk 224,065 per bhori
18-carat: Tk 192,398 per bhori
Traditional method: Tk 157,172 per bhori
BAJUS said buyers will also have to pay 5% VAT and a minimum 6% making charge in addition to the listed gold price. The making charge may vary depending on the design, craftsmanship and quality of the jewellery.
Silver Prices
The latest market prices for silver are also available across different categories:
22-carat silver: Tk 5,132 per bhori
21-carat silver: Tk 4,957 per bhori
18-carat silver: Tk 4,257 per bhori
Traditional method: Tk 3,208 per bhori
With VAT and making charges added to the listed rates, the final purchase cost of gold jewellery may be higher than the base market price.
