Elevated Expressway Toll Plaza to Be Toll-Free for Four Hours Thursday

The elevated expressway’s toll plaza in the airport area of Dhaka will be toll-free for all vehicles for four hours on Thursday, 25 December 2025.
According to an official press release from the Chief Adviser’s Press Wing, the toll exemption will be in effect from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM to facilitate smoother traffic flow into the capital.
This measure aims to help motorists travelling during a busy period, with increased travel expected around Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport and routes leading into Dhaka.
Traffic police will be deployed along key points of the expressway to manage vehicle movement and maintain order during the toll-free window. The decision comes as part of preparations for anticipated large crowds in the city on the day.
