The Chief Adviser of Bangladesh’s interim government, Professor Muhammad Yunus, will cast his vote at the Gulshan Model School and College polling centre in the capital during the ongoing national election.
According to an official statement from his office, he is scheduled to vote at approximately 10:00 a.m. on Thursday.
Officials confirmed that the Chief Adviser will arrive at the centre in the morning and exercise his franchise in accordance with electoral procedures.
Security arrangements are expected to be in place at the venue, given the presence of high-profile political figures.
The same polling centre will also see BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman casting his vote.
The presence of both leaders at a single polling station has drawn public attention, though authorities have indicated that standard security and administrative measures will be maintained to ensure orderly voting.
Election officials stated that all preparations at the Gulshan Model School and College centre have been completed, including the deployment of law enforcement personnel and polling officers.
Voters assigned to the centre are expected to cast their ballots throughout the day in a secure and organised environment.
The Election Commission has reiterated its commitment to maintaining transparency and neutrality at all polling stations nationwide, particularly those involving prominent political leaders.
