Prime Minister’s Gift for Martyr Jamal’s Daughter’s Wedding and Jopel Chakma’s University Admission

The wedding expenses and formalities for the daughter of martyr Jamal, Tania Akter Rumi, who was killed by police gunfire during the 24th Uprising in Chittagong, have been arranged by BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman.
This morning (Friday), an event was held at Chittagong Press Club where financial assistance was provided to Martyr Jamal’s family. On behalf of Tarique Rahman, the special gift was presented by the Minister of Land and Chittagong Hill Tracts, Barrister Mir Mohammad Helal Uddin.
During the event, the Prime Minister’s Additional Press Secretary, Atikur Rahman Rumi, spoke with Jamal’s wife, Taslima Akter, and inquired about the family’s well-being.
Jopel Chakma, who passed the Dhaka University admission test, was also given a congratulatory gift and a monthly scholarship for his studies.
Additionally, financial assistance was provided for the treatment of Marzia Akter Maisha, who is suffering from blood cancer.
