Syed Omy to Perform at Prime Minister’s Event in Chandpur

A festive atmosphere has taken over Chandpur ahead of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman’s upcoming visit on May 16 to inaugurate several development projects, including canal excavation initiatives.

Extensive preparations are underway by the administration, law enforcement agencies, and party leaders and activists to welcome the Prime Minister. To make the event more vibrant and engaging, a special cultural program has also been arranged.

According to organizers, renowned folk singer Kuddus Boyati and popular vocalist Syed Omy will perform at the event in the morning.

Expressing his excitement, Syed Omy said, “I feel truly delighted to be part of such a wonderful initiative. Sharing the stage with legendary folk artist Kuddus Boyati, who gained immense popularity in the 1990s, is a special experience for me. I would like to thank the organizers for inviting me to this event.”

Syed Omy is currently regarded as one of the country’s popular music artists, earning recognition for his folk and contemporary songs. His recent track Dui Chakkar Cycle received widespread appreciation from listeners.

Beyond Bangladesh, his music has also attracted audiences, producers, and filmmakers in West Bengal, India.
