Model and actress Sabila Nur, who rose to prominence through television dramas before making her mark in commercial films and OTT productions, is returning to the digital space with a new project.

The actress will appear in the comedy flash fiction ‘Faisa Gechi’, which is scheduled to be released on August 20.

Directed by Mahmudur Rahman Himi, ‘Faisa Gechi’ revolves around a ride-sharing driver and a series of unusual incidents that unfold in his life. Although presented through a humorous narrative, the story explores themes such as opportunity, greed and guilt.

Sabila Nur stars alongside Dibyo Jyoti, while Arfan Mridha Shiblu and Korvi Mizan are also part of the cast. The content has been jointly produced by Alpha-i and Chorki.

Sabila is excited about the new project and believes it offers something different from her previous work.

“I always try to make sure that one project is different from another. After ‘Bonolota Express’ and ‘Rockstar’, ‘Faisa Gechi’ has been a completely different experience for me. I really enjoyed working on a comedy story. I hope the audience will enjoy it as well,” she said.

Sabila Wants to Continue Across All Three Platforms
Sabila began her acting career with television dramas before gradually establishing herself in OTT productions and films. She now wants to continue working across all three platforms.

“I started my career with television dramas. That is my root. Later, I worked on several OTT projects, and the audience responded positively to them. Then I entered films, where the audience also welcomed me warmly,” she said.

According to Sabila, however, acting for television, OTT and cinema requires different types of preparation.

A film role often demands a longer preparation period, which can make it difficult for an actor to work regularly in television dramas or OTT projects at the same time.

Despite these differences, Sabila says she does not want to define herself by a particular medium. Instead, she wants to be recognised primarily as an actor.

As long as she finds meaningful stories and interesting characters, she hopes to continue working in television, OTT and cinema.

With ‘Faisa Gechi’, Sabila Nur is once again stepping into the OTT space, bringing a new comedy-driven performance to audiences.
