Soniya Islam Pursues Her Acting Dream with Growing Success

Emerging actress Soniya Islam is steadily building her place in Bangladesh’s entertainment industry through her performances in television dramas, music videos, and films. Although her journey in acting began only recently, she has already attracted attention as one of the promising faces of the new generation.

Soniya officially started her media career on November 12, 2024. Raised in Khilgaon, Dhaka, her ancestral home is in Joborkhali village under Nagarkanda upazila of Faridpur district. She completed her education at a government primary school and Ali Ahmed School and College. Alongside acting, she is also working as a gym trainer.

Since her debut, Soniya has remained actively involved in acting projects. Her first television drama was Bou Shashurir Juddho, directed by Alomgir Sagar. She later appeared in the director’s drama Pagol Tor Jonno.

She also gained recognition through her performances in Protiksha and Amra Honeymoone Jabo, directed by Nikul Kumar Mondol. Among her notable works is Takar Gorom. She additionally starred in the single-episode drama Duti Hridoyer Golpo, directed by Saidul Morsalin.

In less than two years, Soniya has worked in nearly 45 television dramas, with 37 already released. She has also featured in five music videos.

Expanding her career beyond television, Soniya has already appeared in two feature films. One of them, Malik, directed by Saif Chandan, was released during Eid this year. She also played a significant role in Roots, directed by Barua Monojit Dhiman.

Driven by dedication, hard work, and confidence, Soniya Islam aims to establish herself further in the entertainment industry. She hopes to take on more challenging roles in the future and win the hearts of audiences through her performances on both television and the big screen.
