Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi reportedly had a close call while filming his upcoming movie Gunmaster G9. A video showing a potentially dangerous moment on the set has recently circulated on social media.
The footage shows a car suspended in the air by a crane suddenly dropping onto the roof of a black van parked below. Hashmi was standing very close to the van, and reports suggest the falling car came dangerously close to the actor.
No injuries have been reported so far. The filmmakers have yet to clarify whether the incident was part of the planned sequence or resulted from an unexpected problem during filming. The location of the shoot has also not been confirmed.
This is not the first time the film’s production has attracted controversy. In June, filming in Haridwar drew objections from some local residents after a sign reading “Bar & Cafe” appeared at the shooting location. Some people reportedly mistook it for an indication that an actual bar was being opened at the religious site. The misunderstanding sparked tension and nearly brought filming to a halt.
Producer Deepak Mukut later said the production team had no intention of hurting anyone’s religious sentiments. He said the issue was resolved through discussions with local residents. Expressing surprise at the allegations, Mukut also noted that he is Hindu and would never consider opening a bar in Haridwar.
Directed by Aditya Datt, Gunmaster G9 is an action-driven romantic film featuring Hashmi alongside Genelia Deshmukh, Aparshakti Khurana and Abhishek Singh.
The film is scheduled to release in theatres on November 27.
