The 98th Academy Awards took place at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood on March 15, 2026, celebrating the most exceptional films of 2025. The star-studded ceremony, hosted by Conan O'Brien, recognized excellence across 24 categories, with several outstanding films and individuals earning prestigious accolades.

“One Battle After Another” emerged as the night’s dominant film, securing six Oscars, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Casting, and Best Film Editing. The film’s significant victories highlighted its creative excellence and solidified its place as a milestone achievement in cinema.

“Sinners” followed closely, winning four Oscars, including Best Actor for Michael B. Jordan, Best Cinematography, Best Original Score, and Best Original Screenplay for Ryan Coogler. Jessie Buckley took home the Best Actress award for her portrayal in "Hamnet", while Sean Penn and Amy Madigan won Best Supporting Actor and Best Supporting Actress, respectively.

In additional categories, “KPop Demon Hunters” earned Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song for "Golden," while “Sentimental Value” from Norway claimed Best International Feature. The Best Documentary Feature went to “Mr. Nobody Against Putin”, and “F1” received Best Sound. The highly competitive Best Visual Effects category was won by “Avatar: Fire and Ash”. The Best Live Action Short Film category featured a tie, with “The Singers” and “Two People Exchanging Saliva” both securing the award.
