Rajshahi New Govt. Degree College Has Produced Illustrious Personalities: Land Minister Minister of Cultural Affairs Nitai Roy Chowdhury.

Describing Rajshahi New Govt. Degree College as one of the premier educational institutions in the country, Land Minister Md. Mijanur Rahman Minu stated that the institution has produced numerous brilliant minds who are contributing significantly to national development both at home and abroad.

The Minister made these remarks as the chief guest at the registration launch for the Dhaka-based HSC Alumni Association reunion of the college, held on Hare Road in the capital on Friday.

Highlighting the college's rich legacy, the Minister noted that its alumni include former Rajshahi University Vice-Chancellor Salahuddin, an Air Vice Marshal of the Bangladesh Air Force, high-ranking government officials, and leading business personalities. Marking the college's ongoing 58th year, he announced plans for a large-scale 60th-anniversary celebration involving alumni worldwide and committed to renovating the institution's dilapidated auditorium. During his speech, he also acknowledged former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia's contributions to female education and the overall advancement of the sector.

Chaired by the college's Principal, Professor Dr. Shikha Sarkar, Cultural Affairs Minister Nitai Roy Chowdhury attended the event as a special guest. Advocate Mohammad Shafiqul Haq Milan, MP for Rajshahi-3 and chief patron of the association, delivered the welcome address. The HSC Alumni Association reunion is scheduled to take place on December 26 this year.
