Three-Month Nationwide Dengue Prevention Drive Begins Saturday

Dhaka: A three-month nationwide “Dengue Prevention and Cleanliness Campaign-2026” will begin on Saturday amid a rise in dengue cases in Dhaka and various parts of the country.
Prime Minister Tarique Rahman will formally inaugurate the nationwide campaign at 9:00 am on Saturday at the South Plaza of the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban.
The information was disclosed in a press release signed by Syed Abdal Ahmed, Chief Information Officer of the Press Information Department (PID).
The release requested Bangladesh Television, Bangladesh Betar, and all private television channels across the country to broadcast the Prime Minister’s inaugural programme live in the public interest.
The three-month campaign will focus on strengthening cleanliness activities and raising public awareness as part of efforts to prevent the spread of dengue nationwide.
