Prime Minister Visits Injured Army Officer at CMH

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman visited the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) on Friday to see an Army officer who was critically injured in an accident during a field firing exercise in Hathazari, Chattogram.
The Prime Minister visited the CMH around noon and enquired about the officer’s physical condition. Prime Minister’s Deputy Press Secretary Sujauddoula (Sujon Mahmud) confirmed the matter.
He said the Prime Minister wished the injured officer a speedy and full recovery and instructed the authorities concerned to ensure that he receives the necessary medical treatment.
During the visit, the Prime Minister also spoke with the injured officer and his family members, offering them encouragement and reassurance.
The accident occurred on Wednesday during a Bangladesh Army field firing exercise in Hathazari, Chattogram. Two Army personnel were killed, and an Army officer was critically injured when an accident occurred while firing from a tank during the exercise.
The injured officer was later transferred to the CMH in Dhaka for advanced treatment.
The Deputy Press Secretary also said Prime Minister Tarique Rahman expressed deep grief over the deaths of the two Army personnel and conveyed his condolences to their bereaved families.
