Students who failed in up to two subjects in the HSC and equivalent examinations will have the opportunity to sit for supplementary examinations. The application process began on Thursday, November 5. Students can complete their online forms through their respective educational institutions until November 7.

According to a notice issued by the Dhaka Education Board, the examination fee has been set at Tk 125 for each theoretical paper or subject and Tk 25 for each practical paper or subject. In addition, every candidate must pay a centre fee of Tk 450. The examinations are scheduled to begin on December 1.

How to Complete the Application Form

According to the board's instructions, a provisional list of students eligible to sit for the supplementary examinations will be published on the Dhaka Education Board website: www.dhakaeducationboard.gov.bd.

Students whose names appear on the list must complete the online form through their respective educational institutions between November 5 and 7. Examination fees must be deposited through Sonali Seba at any branch of Sonali Bank, payable to the Secretary of the Dhaka Education Board. The deadline for fee payment is November 8.

The final list of candidates will become available within 24 hours of the bank deposit. Educational institutions must then verify the list and collect the candidates' signatures. The head of each institution must also sign every page of the list.

Printed copies of the final list bearing the candidates' signatures, along with the bank payment receipt, must be preserved by the respective institutions.

If more than one student has the same name, institutions must identify the correct candidate by checking the registration number. The notice warns that the head of the institution concerned will be held responsible for any errors in this process.

How Much Will Candidates Have to Pay?

According to the Dhaka Education Board's fee schedule, candidates must pay Tk 125 for each theoretical paper or subject, Tk 25 for each practical paper or subject, and Tk 450 per candidate as the examination centre fee.

Educational institutions may retain 10% of the centre fee to cover their own expenses. The remaining 90% must be paid to the officer in charge of the examination centre.

The centre fee will also cover all operational expenses of the examination centre, as well as the costs of collecting answer scripts and other examination-related materials from the board office.

Which Syllabus Will Be Followed?

Regular candidates will sit for the supplementary examinations under the revised syllabus for 2026. For irregular candidates, the applicable syllabus will be the revised 2025 syllabus prescribed by the education board.

Students concerned have been instructed to complete the application process and pay the required fees within the stipulated deadlines.
