Security Clearance Delays Force Postponement of Two Pakistani Artists’ Concerts in Bangladesh

Two highly anticipated concerts featuring Pakistani artists in Bangladesh have been postponed at the last minute after organizers failed to receive the required security clearance.

Organizers said that preparations for both events had been completed and advance payments had already been made to the participating artists. However, the lack of final security approval left them with no option but to postpone the shows.

The ‘Mahaksh Republic’ concert, scheduled for September 25 at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Exhibition Center in the capital, was set to feature popular Pakistani bands Voice of Junoon, Jal The Band, and Roxen (featuring).

The event was also expected to showcase performances by several leading Bangladeshi bands, including Nemesis, Level Five, Shironamhin, and Nagar Baul (James).

Meanwhile, Pakistani band Kavish was scheduled to perform the following day at Sea Shell Park & Resort in Purbachal as part of the concert titled ‘Wave Fest: Enjoy the Full Moon.’ The event was being organized by Prime Wave Communication.

An organizer of ‘Mahaksh Republic’, speaking on condition of anonymity, said that everything was ready for the event, including payment of advance fees to the artists. However, the concert had to be postponed after the necessary permission was not granted at the final stage.

The organizers are expected to provide further details at a press conference on September 24.

According to the organizers, new dates for the postponed concerts will be announced soon. They also confirmed that three other concerts featuring foreign artists have been postponed for security-related reasons.
