Improved meals will be served at hospitals, prisons, orphanages, children's centres, child care homes, juvenile correction centres, peace homes and institutions for homeless people. All children's parks across the country will remain open free of charge throughout the day.

Drawing competitions for children will be organised at district and upazila levels with support from the Ministry of Women and Children Affairs and local administrations. Educational institutions will also arrange special discussion meetings and essay competitions.

National newspapers will publish special articles, literary supplements and commemorative features. Bangladesh Television, private television channels and radio stations will broadcast special programmes. Documentary film screenings will also be arranged at cinema halls and through mobile vans.
