LankaBangla Securities PLC and Excellence Bangladesh have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote capital market awareness, investment knowledge, and financial literacy among university students across Bangladesh.

The MoU was formally signed yesterday at the LankaBangla Securities office in Banani, Dhaka, at a ceremony attended by senior management and officials from both organisations.

Under the partnership, the organisations will jointly implement a range of initiatives targeting university students across the country. The programmes will include capital market and investment awareness sessions, educational discussions, seminars, student competitions, campus ambassador programmes, and digital campaigns.

A key objective of the partnership is to reach one million students across Bangladesh by 2030 with essential knowledge and awareness about the capital market and investment.

The initiative is expected to contribute to improving financial literacy among young people and help develop a culture of informed and responsible investment. By providing students with a better understanding of the capital market and basic investment concepts, the programme aims to prepare the next generation to make more informed financial decisions.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Mohammad Nasir Uddin Chowdhury, Managing Director of LankaBangla Securities PLC, and Benjir Abrar, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Excellence Bangladesh, were present along with senior officials from both organisations.

The partnership is expected to create a stronger and more sustainable connection between universities, young people, and Bangladesh’s capital market. The two organisations believe the initiative will help equip students with practical financial knowledge while encouraging greater awareness of responsible investment.

The collaboration marks a significant step toward engaging the younger generation with the country’s capital market and building a financially informed future generation.
