Metro Rail Service Suspended on Eid Day

The metro rail service will be suspended on Eidul Fitr day, as confirmed by Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTC) in an official notice issued on Monday, March 16.
According to the notice, signed by AKM Khairul Alam, Director (Administration) of DMTC, the metro rail will not operate on the day of Eidul Fitr in 2026. However, starting the next day after Eid, the service will resume according to its regular timetable.
The Eid celebration will depend on the moon sighting, which is expected to fall on either March 20 or 21, marking the holiday in Bangladesh.
