Rashmika Mandanna Makes a Striking Debut at Vogue World 2026 in Milan

Indian actress Rashmika Mandanna made a striking debut at the international fashion event ‘Vogue World 2026’ in Milan, drawing attention with an elaborate black couture gown designed by celebrated Indian designer Anamika Khanna.

Rashmika stepped onto the global fashion stage wearing a special off-the-runway creation from Khanna’s latest couture collection, ‘Moonlit Palace’. The dramatic black gown combines sheer lace, floral embroidery, delicate beadwork, sequins and crystal embellishments to create a sophisticated yet theatrical look.

The intricate outfit reportedly took around 350 hours to complete at the designer’s studio. Featuring a sleeveless, high-neck design and a floor-length silhouette, the gown is structured around a corset-inspired form. Floral appliqués and scattered sequins add texture and sparkle, while the crystal-studded collar provides a distinctive finishing detail.

The ‘Moonlit Palace’ collection was presented earlier this year in Hyderabad, India. The collection showcases intricate craftsmanship through embroidered black lace, floral appliqués and a variety of surface embellishments.

Keeping the gown at the centre of attention, Rashmika opted for minimal jewellery, pairing the outfit with Swarovski ear cuffs and rings. Bronze-toned makeup, long blow-dried hair, black satin thigh-high boots and a Gucci bag completed her overall appearance.

This year’s Vogue World event in Milan celebrates Italy’s rich and century-spanning fashion heritage. The event brings together different chapters of fashion history, ranging from Renaissance-inspired artistry and the Industrial Revolution to iconic Italian fashion houses and visions of fashion’s future.

Against that international backdrop, Rashmika’s appearance in a meticulously crafted Indian couture gown—requiring around 350 hours of work—gave her debut a distinctive fashion statement.
