Brazil have regained their position as the highest-scoring team in FIFA World Cup history following a convincing 3-0 victory over Haiti, moving ahead of Germany in the tournament’s all-time goals standings.

The five-time world champions began the 2026 World Cup with 237 goals to their name, five more than Germany’s 232. However, Brazil’s 1-1 draw against Morocco in their opening Group C match, combined with Germany’s emphatic 7-1 win over Curaçao, allowed the Germans to overtake them with a total of 239 goals.

Brazil responded in style against Haiti, with Matheus Cunha scoring twice and Vinicius Junior adding another goal to secure a comfortable win in Philadelphia.

The three goals increased Brazil’s all-time World Cup tally to 241 goals, putting them two ahead of Germany’s 239 and restoring their place at the top of the historic scoring chart.

The victory also moved Carlo Ancelotti’s side to the top of Group C on goal difference ahead of Morocco.

Brazil will conclude their group-stage campaign against Scotland on June 24 in Miami, while Germany are scheduled to face Ivory Coast in their next match.

Brazil and Germany remain the only two nations to have scored more than 200 goals in World Cup history. Argentina sit third on the all-time list with 152 goals, well behind the two football powerhouses.
