Bengal Islamic Life Approves 2% Cash Dividend at AGM collected

Bengal Islamic Life Insurance Limited has approved a 2 percent cash dividend for its shareholders at the company’s 12th Annual General Meeting (AGM), held at Banani Club in Dhaka.

The company also announced a reversionary bonus of Tk 33 and a terminal bonus of Tk 15 for policyholders against every Tk 1,000 of the sum assured.

The AGM was chaired by company Chairman Mostafa Azad Chowdhury. Chief Patron Md Jasim Uddin, Vice Chairman Md Amin Helaly, other directors, shareholders, the chief executive officer and senior officials were present at the meeting.

Chief Executive Officer M M Monirul Alam presented the company’s audited financial statements and Shariah report for the year ended 2025. Both reports were approved unanimously by the shareholders.

With the direct support of the board and shareholders, Mostafa Azad Chowdhury was re-elected as chairman and Md Amin Helaly as vice chairman. The company also appointed an audit firm to conduct the audit for the 2026 financial year.

In his address, Chairman Mostafa Azad Chowdhury highlighted the company’s financial stability and continued growth, expressing optimism about its future business performance.

Chief Patron Md Jasim Uddin said Bengal Islamic Life gives the highest priority to customer trust and satisfaction while following Shariah-based values, applicable laws and the policies of the Insurance Development and Regulatory Authority of Bangladesh (IDRA).

He also said the company remains committed to digitalization and improving service quality to provide modern, technology-driven services to customers.

He thanked the directors, shareholders, customers, employees and business partners for their continued support in the company’s progress.
