Gold Prices Drop Again in Bangladesh, 22-Carat Rate Cut by Tk 5,481 per Bhori

Gold prices have been reduced once again in Bangladesh following a decision by the Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS). The association has lowered the price of 22-carat gold by Tk 5,481 per bhori. Under the revised rate, one bhori of 22-carat gold jewellery will cost Tk 217,592, including VAT.
BAJUS attributed the latest price adjustment to a decline in the price of locally traded Tejabi gold, or pure gold. The revised rates came into effect at 10:00 am on Saturday (October 31).
The decision was taken at a meeting of the BAJUS Standing Committee on Pricing and Price Monitoring. The association later announced the change through an official notice signed by the committee's chairman, Dr Dewan Aminul Islam Shaheen.
Alongside gold, BAJUS has also decided to reduce silver prices in the domestic market.
