US President Donald Trump has said that Israel would no longer exist if Iran had been allowed to acquire nuclear weapons. He claimed that the US military campaign against Iran had prevented the country from developing nuclear weapons and saved Israel from destruction.

Trump made the remarks on Friday (November 6) while speaking at the UP Summit at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. He used the occasion to defend his administration’s military campaign against Iran.

“If I allowed Iran to have a nuclear weapon, today there would be no Israel. Israel would have been wiped off the face of the earth,” Trump said.

He also credited US B-2 bomber strikes with preventing Iran from developing nuclear weapons, reiterating that Tehran would never be allowed to possess such weapons.

Trump’s remarks came amid ongoing diplomatic efforts to end the conflict with Iran, alongside growing concerns about the possibility of renewed military operations against the country.

On Thursday (November 5), Trump had indicated that the United States could launch further military strikes against Iran if necessary. However, diplomatic efforts to resolve the crisis have also continued.
