Bangladesh made an impressive start with the ball in the Sylhet Test, claiming three early wickets in West Indies' first innings to put the visitors under pressure. Pacers Taskin Ahmed and Hasan Mahmud troubled the Caribbean batting lineup with their bowling.
The second and final Test of the two-match series between Bangladesh and West Indies is being played at Sylhet Osmani Stadium on Thursday. After being put in to bat at the start of the day, Brandon King failed to stay at the crease for long. Taskin broke the opening partnership by bowling him with a superb delivery.
Hasan Mahmud struck for Bangladesh in the sixth over. A brilliant delivery bowled Kavem Hodge, who returned to the pavilion after scoring just one run.
Taskin increased the pressure on the visitors by claiming his second wicket. Joshua Da Silva was trapped leg before wicket (LBW) and had to walk back to the dressing room.
At the time of writing, West Indies were 57 for 3 after 15 overs. The visitors were under pressure after losing three important wickets early in their innings.
