Tanjia Bristy Returns to Fans After Nine Months, Plans Acting Comeback

Actress Tanjia Bristy has appeared live before her fans again after staying away from the public eye for nearly nine months due to health complications. During a Facebook Live session on Saturday, she spoke about her ongoing treatment, current condition and plans to return to acting.

Bristy’s health problems came to public attention in February after she suddenly fell ill and medical tests revealed a brain tumour. She underwent surgery to remove the tumour that month. After continuing treatment at home, she travelled to Chennai on March 9 for further medical care, where she underwent two additional surgeries.

Her treatment also left her unable to speak normally for an extended period. During Saturday’s live session, however, she spoke with fans for some time and said that she is doing considerably better than before, while continuing to seek prayers for her recovery.

The actress also responded to questions about her weight gain. She explained that the change was related to the effects of undergoing two surgeries and described it as a normal part of her recovery.

Speaking about her return to acting, Bristy said her chemotherapy is still ongoing. Three months of a planned six-month course have been completed. Despite the continuing treatment, she said discussions are underway about returning to work as early as this month.

Bristy acknowledged that the lengthy treatment period had been extremely difficult. She said her condition had once been serious, but that she is now feeling much better and following her doctors’ advice.

During the live session, fans also asked when they would see her in dramas again. Bristy said she wants to return to acting and has been encouraged by the continued support of viewers who have stayed by her side throughout her illness. She also said that she personally misses acting.

The actress said her six pet cats have also been a constant source of companionship during her recovery. She spends much of her time with them and sometimes takes them along when she goes outside.

Bristy expressed gratitude to everyone who prayed for her recovery and waited for her return. At the end of the live session, she once again asked her fans to keep her in their prayers.
